Yoel Roth (born in 1987) is an American Head of Site Integrity and Social Media Personality from San Francisco, California. He is best known for leading Twitter’s global Site Integrity team as of May 2020.
He started to work on this position back in July 2018. His main responsibilities are policy development, implementation, and investigations on various issues like data privacy, spam, and security.
Roth started his career at Twitter after joining the firm as a product trust partner in July 2015. Later, he got promoted as senior product trust partner and worked from February 2017 to November 2017.
In addition, Yoel also served as “manager, trust & safety” from November 2017 to February 2019. He is also working as Twitter’s global API Policy. In May 2020, Yoel got involved in a controversy after US President threatened to shut them down.
On May 27, 2020, Trump wrote that republicans believe that social media platforms completely silence conservative views. Later, Roth responded by tweeting that he will not let fact-checking to choke his choice of speech.
Earlier on May 11, 2020, he and Nick Pickles (Twitter’s Director of Public Policy) stated in a blog post on Twitter’s website that they will characterize misleading tweets in one of three disputed claims, misleading information and unverified claims.
