Yago Riedijk (born in 1991) is a Dutch Former ISIS Member, Fighter, and Controversial Personality from Arnhem, The Netherlands. He is popularly known as Shamima Begum’s husband. She is a British Citizen who left England at the age of 15 with her two other friends.
Later, she joined the Islamic State group in Syria in 2015. Moreover, the couple tied the knot days after Shamima arrived inside IS territory. Recently, Riedijk claimed that he wanted to return to the Netherlands with his wife.

Earlier, Yago admitted that he fought from the terrorist’s side. In addition, he is also held in a Kurdish detention center in north-eastern Syria. During an interview with Quentin Sommerville (Middle East correspondent), Yago Riedijk confessed that he declined IS and even tried to leave the group.
However, he was jailed in Raqqa as the extremists accused him of being a Dutch spy. His spouse fled from the town of Baghouz, the group’s last territory in eastern Syria when her partner caught.
The former ISIS member capitulated to a group of Syrian fighters. Recently, Begum gave birth to their son named Jarrah. Furthermore, she and her child stayed in the al-Hawl refugee camp in northern Syria along with 39,000 people for some time.
