William “Junior“ Pierce (born in 1940) is an American Criminal, Serial Killer, and Controversial Personality from Georgia. He recently gained public attention after his picture was featured on the Netflix show “Mindhunter” Season 2.
In the third episode of the program, Agents Holden Ford and Jim Barney visited William at a Georgia jail. Furthermore, the series didn’t show his life & crimes in detail but it highlighted his photograph with a little editing.

The makers of the Mindhunter put up the face of actor Michael Filipowich in the image in order to show in the web series. According to a source, William committed various crimes like series of robberies, thefts, first-degree arson, and much more.
In addition, he was also convicted of the crimes between 1960 and 1964. In June 1970, Pierce again caught by the authorities with the suspect of murdering nine people in a short period of time Georgia and South Carolina.
Later, in 1974, William Junior became highly infamous after he was accused of raping and killing a 13-years-old girl named Margaret “Peg” Cuttino. She was the daughter of a South Carolina senator.

Recently, season 2 of the famous web show named “Mindhunter” released on the 16th of August 2019. It is an American crime thriller web television series which first aired on October 13, 2017.
The creator of the web program is Joe Penhall. According to Wikipedia, it is based on the book named “Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit” penned by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker.
The new show depicted the life story of various household serial killers such as Charles Manson, Ed Kemper, Dennis Rader, and William “Junior” Pierce.
The role of Pierce was portrayed by Michael Filipowich (American actor). In fact, the Australian actor “Damon Herriman” played the role of the Charles Manson. He also portrayed the same character in the movie “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood“.
