Umesh was a politician and professional lawyer. Umesh joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in April 2019 within the sight of clergyman Satya Pal Singh Baghel. After that, eight months before the elections for the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 2022, he joined the Samajwadi Party (SP). He supposedly endeavored to challenge the races from the Phaphamau voting public on a ticket from the Samajwadi Party.
