Sutapa Sikdar is born on 18th September 1967 in an assamese family in New Delhi. Her age is 52 years as on 2018. Sutapa spent her initial days in New Delhi itself. She did her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Andrews Ganj and New Delhi. Later, she joined the National School of Drama to pursue her interests in the film industry. It was here she met Irrfan and they fell in love with each other. They later got married in 1995, and have two kids, Ayaan and Babil Khan.

Just as Irrfan tweeted about his “rare-disease” on 5th March, his fans flooded the Internet with their concerns for the veteran actor. Yesterday, on March 9, Sutapa posted a facebook status, thanking all his fans for their prayers and concerns regarding the actor’s health. She wrote that God has made Irrfan a warrior, who is fighting with all the obstacles with grace. She also requested his fans not to waste their precious energies in just knowing what it is and praying for it, but asked them to concentrate on the song and dance of the life.
