The officials claimed that the actress paid $15,000 USD to the Key Worldwide Foundation. Apparently, it was a charitable donation. But later it was announced that the money was given as a bribe to a person who will pretend to be Sofia Grace Macy to take the SAT for her.
The main aim of this scandal was to increase the scores from the Preliminary SAT (PSAT). According to a source, Felicity was also a part of an indictment of giving cash to the KWF for the college entrance exam. It is a defrauding plot named by the codename “Varsity Blues“.
The official documents stated that the actress had various discussions with assisting witnesses who were behind the alleged scheme. In those conversations, Huffman agreed to re-arranged Sofia’s SAT.
The actress also planned to correct her answers. Later, William’s elder child eventually scored 1420 on the test, an increase of 400 on her PSAT. Furthermore, another witness informed police that he flew from Tampa to Los Angeles to proctor the SAT examinations.
He also helped to cheat the students either by modifying their answers after the test or by actively supporting them during the exam.
