Shakuntala Devi aka Human-Computer (born 4 November 1929) was a famous Indian writer, professional mathematician, author, and entrepreneur from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. She is well-known in the whole world as a human calculator or human-computer. She was a professional mathematician. Some people say that Shakuntala had a god-gifted mind because she solved extremely hard maths problems within a second.
She did all these math tricks without any formal education. Her name is also recorded as a Human-Computer in the “The Guinness Book of World Records” 1982 edition. She traveled to different countries to show her talent in the world. Apart from a mathematician, Shakuntala Devi was also an author and writer. She wrote more than 10 books in her career.

The human calculator came to this world from her parents on Monday, 4 November 1929 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. At the time of her birth, the British ruled in India that’s why the name of her birthplace was Princely State of Mysore, British India (before Independence).
She was born into a Kannada Brahmin caste and belonged to the Hinduism religion. Shakuntala Devi was 83 years old at the time of her death. The names of her mother and father are not known. As per the sources, her dad was work in a circus and her mother was a housewife. Her dad used to perform various tasks in the Circus like a tightrope walker, lion tamer, magician, and trapeze artists.
