Scoop Makhathini (born March 16, 1982) is a South African Television Presenter and Writer from South Africa. He is famous for hosting the “Street Journal” (pop culture magazine show) on SABC1. Furthermore, the 37-year-old Scoop also gained success by hosting the “Turn Up” show.
His real full birth name is Siyabonga Ngwekazi. Moreover, he started his career by co-hosting the “8th Annual Metro FM Music Awards” with Penny Lebyane in November 2007. Later, Ngwekazi became the host of “The Real Goboza” Season 2 (the celebrity gossip show).
He replaced “Trevor Noah” (South African comedian, political commentator, and television host) for the series. In addition, Siyabonga started co-hosting “V Entertainment” on DStv’s Vuzu channel with Nonhle Thema in 2009. It is the daily live entertainment news show.
He was also a digital host for the 16th Annual South African Music Awards (SAMAs). The event held in Sun City on Saturday 17 April 2010.

The television presenter is in a relationship with his girlfriend “Akhona Carpede”. The couple started dating each other a few years back. Later, Scoop Makhathini engaged his fiancee in a private ceremony.
