In the year 2010 Samantha Akkineni met the famous male star of Tollywood, Naga Chaitanya. After this, in 2015 they started getting closer to each other and rumours came out about their affair. These rumours proved to be true when in early 2017 they both got engaged. Following their engagement in the month of October in 2017 Samantha married Naga Chaitanya. Their marriage happened according to both Hindu (6 October) and Christian rituals (7 October).
