Rumi Jaffery (born in 1976) is an Indian Screenwriter and Director from Mumbai, Maharashtra (India). He started his career in the film industry in 1992. Furthermore, he wrote the storyline of the Hindi language movie titled Payaal.
For his first film, he received huge appreciation from the critics and the audience. Everyone admired the storyline and his skills. He worked on the other films Waqt Humara Hain and Rang. The renowned filmmaker David Dhawan hired him for the movie Coolie No. 1 as a Dialogue writer.

Filmmaker Rumi Jaffery Quizzed by the ED Officers for 8 hours in Actor Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials decided to record filmmaker Rumi’s statement ((NDTV)). Jeffery reached to the Ballard Estate Office of ED around 11:30 am on August 20, 2020 (Thursday).

He questioned for making a film with Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakraborty. Furthermore, he supported the Mumbai police in the question session after Rajput’s death on June 14, 2020.
On July 25, 2020, Sushant’s family members filed a police case in the Patna City against Rhea and her family members Indrajit Chakraborty (father), Sandhya Chakraborty (mother), Showik Chakraborty (brother) and former managers Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi.

All of them reached the ED office after getting the summons. The ED investigation team is investigating the money-laundering angle in Sushant’s death case. Sushant’s father KK Singh reported that around Rs. 15 Crore Indian Rupees transferred from his son’s account to unknown bank accounts.
Ms. Chakraborty’s and her family members’ mobile phones and laptops kept by the ED team. According to the Supreme Court’s verdict came a few days back revealed that the Sushant’s death case investigation transferred to the CBI officers.
Now, the truth will reveal soon that the famous actor murdered or committed suicide. CBI can call Siddharth Pithani for the questioning, as he was the first person who saw Sushant hanging in the room.
