The Uttar Pradesh based Spokesperson passed away ^[1]The Times of India on August 12, 2020, at his home. He was at home for an online debate session. His wife reached to the room and saw him unconscious lying on the floor. Rajiv admitted to the Yashoda Hospital.

People gathered & paid tribute to Congress’s spokesperson on his death.

Before that, their neighbor Dr. Chauhan gave CPR to him to save a life. However, the doctor’s team of Dr. Sunil Sagar from the Yashoda Hospital could not save his life. Tyagi’s son-in-laws Vivek, Kamalkant, wife Sangita Tyagi, and son Dhanjay Tyagi were present in the hospital.

Around 8 pm, his relatives brought his body to the home and kept in the transparent box. Many congress leaders and people came to their house to pay tribute. The Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi paid condolences on the demise of the congress leader.
