Rajan Nanda (born in 1942 – died Aug 5, 2018) was an Indian Business, Chairman of Escorts Group, and spouse of Ritu Nanda from Fazilka, Punjab. He is famously known to be the father-in-law of Shweta Bachchan Nanda (Amitabh Bachchan’s Daughter).
Furthermore, the 76-year-old industrialist passed away on the 5th of August 2018, in Gurgaon. He was suffering from some health issues due to which he died.
The information about his demise was given by Amitabh Bachchan on his Twitter account. He wrote “My relative Mr. Rajan Nanda, Nikhil’s father, and father-in-law of Shweta passed away. Leaving for India.”
He was shooting for his next movie “Brahmastra” in Bulgaria. In addition, Shweta married Rajan’s son Nikhil Nanda. The couple is the parents of two children Navya Naveli Nanda (daughter) and Agastya Nanda (aka Agstya Nanda, son).
Moreover, Rajan was also related to the Kapoor family of Bollywood. His wife Ritu Nanda, is the daughter of legendary actor Raj Kapoor. Many actors paid tribute to him on their social media accounts.
