On July 16, 2020, she left her house located in the Akyaka neighborhood of the Ula town[1]MSN. She lived there alone. After leaving her house, she planned to go to her mom-dad house. She informed them too. They waited for a long time for her.
Then, her mom Şefika Gültekin and sister Sibel Gültekin visited Muğla. Both of them filed a complaint at the Akyaka Gendarmerie General Command. Furthermore, they used the social networking online platform to seek the clue of their missing daughter/Sister.

The police department of the area started their investigation procedure. On July 21, 2020, they found a dead body near the Yerkesik neighborhood rural area of Menteşe. Her body dumped after burning and the murderer used concrete to remove all the pieces of evidence.
While interrogating, the people associated with her, the police found the details of her ex-boyfriend named Cemal Metin Avcı. Additionally, Cemal visited the police for the testimony and accepted that he committed the murder of his girlfriend. From July 16-July 21, 2020, he met Pinal to re-establish his relationship with her.
