Paul Allen (born January 21, 1953 – died October 15, 2018) is an American Co-Founder Of Microsoft, Philanthropist, and Investor. In 1975, he and Bill Gates started a BASIC computer programming language interpreter. Later, they co-founded Microsoft in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His full birth name is Paul Gardner Allen.
Allen made a deal for Microsoft to buy a Quick and Dirty Operating System in 1980. Furthermore, this led the company to develop a Disk Operating System. They delivered to IBM and ran it on IBM’s PC line.
In 2000, due to his health condition, he withdrew his name from the Board of Director of the company. Later, Paul became the senior strategy advisor to the company’s executives. Moreover, Allen founded the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation in 1986.
On October 15, 2018, the investor died after battling a long fight against cancer. The businessman also has two professional sports teams in America.
