As reported by the media, Pamela Goswami, the BJP Youth Wing Leader was arrested from Kolkata after she was found guilty of possessing 100 gms of Cocaine. As claimed by Pamela, she has been framed by another BJP leader Rakesh Singh after she rejected her proposal.
On 25 February 2021, Pamela was presented in front of the NDPS court. Here she made some heinous allegations against another BJP Leader named Rakesh Singh for framing her in the drugs case after she declined his proposal. She further claimed that Rakesh Singh was interested in him and has physically harassed her and threatened her to be attacked by acid.
She said that he was planning all this for a long time. She accused him of threatening her to throw acid on her face and kill her people if she went on to register a complaint against her in the police station[4]India Today.

Also, media reports suggest that the state secretary of the Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) was in the car with her friend Prabir Kumar Dey at the time of her arrest from South Kolkata’s upscale New Alipore area. As soon as she was arrested she demanded the arrest of Rakesh Singh accusing him of framing her in the case.
Remanded to police custody till February 25, Pamela demanded a CID investigation in the case against Rakesh Singh and his aide Kailash Vijayvargiya. Also, she was seen chanting Bharat Mata Ki Jai while exiting the court, claiming that the truth shall prevail.

As reported, Rakesh Singh was caught at Galsi after he was trying to escape from the police. He has claimed that he has fallen prey to dirty politics. On asking that why she (Pamela) took his name in the case, he said that only Pamela will be able to tell that.
He said that all of this is a conspiracy against him and he has no connection with the case at all. Rakesh was arrested on Tuesday, from the Galsi area of Purba Bardhaman district in West Bengal. According to what police claimed, Rakesh Singh was caught while he was trying to run away from the state[5]India Today.
