Pallavi Gogoi (born May 9, 1970) is an Indian-American Journalist, Writer, Reporter and Editor from New York, USA. She is currently serving as the Chief Business Editor at National Public Radio (NPR). Furthermore, she has also worked in many famous United States Media News agencies like CNN Money, The Associated Press and USA Today.
The 48-year-old Pallavi has also accused M.J. Akbar (Indian Politician) for sexual misconduct and raping her while working under him at The Asian Age. She was raped multiple times by MJ Akbar in his office when she was just 23 years old.
Therefore, she has posted her story over the internet to expose Mobashar Jawed Akbar under her #MeToo Movement story.
Gogoi is not the first lady who has accused Akbar. Earlier in October 2018, Priya Ramani has revealed her rape allegation story. Hence, many girls and woman have come forward to speak about their sexual harassment while working with MJ Akbar.
