Nimrit was born in New Delhi to a Punjabi family. She belongs to a Sikh, Khatri family, and follows Sikhism. Her father “Surpal Singh” is an Army Officer, posted in Manipur while her mother “Inderpreet Kaur Ahluwalia” is a school principal.

Nimrit started her career through theatre acting, she performed in plays for more than 15 years. Nimrit first joined the industry as a model in 2018. She won “The Tiara Queen” by TGPC. Moreover, she achieved one of the top positions in the finals at the Patiala auditions of FBB Campus Princess in 2018 and got the title of Miss India Manipur in 2018.
After winning the title, Nimrit got many offers to perform in music videos as she appeared in a music video such as “Masstaani” with B Praak in 2018. Later, she appeared in the “Serious” music video by Bannet Dosanjh in 2019.
