Nick McGlashan (born August 1, 1988 – died December 27, 2020) was a seventh-generation fisherman and a part of the Discovery channel’s crew from an island near the United States of America named Akutan, Alaska.
He had been working on a boat to catch crabs since he was a thirteen-year-old boy. He was seen on the reality show called “Deadliest Catch[1]IMDb” that aired on the Discovery channel.
He worked as a Deck Boss. Nick was one of the people’s favorites from the show.

Nick McGlashan Death Cause
Sadly, Nick died on the 27th of December, 2020 in his Nashville, Tennessee House. The TV star was abusing drugs for many years. It was also the reason why he was kicked out of the show.
Nick claimed he was drinking half a gallon of alcohol at the height of his addiction, and using a gram of meth and two grams of heroin in a single day. He overdosed thrice before admitting himself into rehab. He was sober till 2016.

A very sad part about his death is that his last tweet was about trauma. Nick always regretted using substance and realised that it ruined his life.
He did want to change for the better but friends and family believe that he relapsed in 2020 and that might be the cause of his passing. However, the investigation of his death is still ongoing and the cause yet to be established.
