Naresh Kanodia (born 20 August 1943 – died 27 October 2020) was an Indian Gujarati film actor, singer, and musician from Rajkot, Gujarat. He later turned politician and represented Karjan Assembly seat from 2002 to 2007. Moreover, he worked in over 100 Gujarati films.

The actor breathed last time at a hospital in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad on October 27, 2020 morning. He was 77 years old. Kanodia was admitted on October 20, 2020, to the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre.
After he was found COVID-19 positive. Reports hinted that he was on ventilator support. Moreover, just two days before Naresh Kanodia’s death, his brother Mahesh Kanodia passed away. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, meanwhile, paid tribute to Kanodia brother by posting on Twitter.

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani also paid condolence, he said that he was extremely saddened by the death of BJP leader Naresh Kanodia. He wrote that the late star’s invaluable contribution to the arts will encourage the younger generation.
Legend Lata Mangeshkar also expressed condolence over the demise of singer Naresh Kanodia and his brother Mahesh Kanodia on Twitter. Further, she took to social media and paid tribute to the late singers, who passed away just in two days gap. Also, many of her Fans and supporters wrote ‘Om Shanti’ and ‘Rest in Peace’ in the comment section.

Naresh started his career as a stage singer and dancer. He uses to perform along with his elder brother Mahesh Kanodia. The duo was one of the most successful musical artists in the Gujarati film industry, known as Mahesh-Naresh.
Naresh and his elder brother were the first Gujarati based pair to travel abroad. As a stage artist, they performed in various locations like Africa, America, and amazing other Asian countries.
Kanodia started his acting career with the film named Veli Ne Avya Phool[1]IMDb (1970). In the same year, he also worked in a minor role in the film Jigar and Ami. He acted in more than 100 Gujarati films in his successful career.
