Nalini Chidambaram (born in 1946) is an Indian lawyer based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu (India). Now, she is the spouse of P. Chidambaram (Former Attorney, Congress Leader & Member of Rajya Sabha). Meanwhile, Mr. Chidambaram also served as the Union Finance Minister of India.
Furthermore, he handled the responsibility of Finance and Home Ministry from 2004 to 2014. He fought his first Lok Sabha election from the Shivganga seat in 1984. Apart from that, Nalini served in the Madras High Court and the Supreme Court. She shared the gender discrimination issues in her profession.
However, the Delhi High School rejected his bail plea on August 20, 2019. Chidambaram accused in the different corruption and INX Media Case. Still, he criticized for his job during the 2008 and 2011 Mumbai Attacks. However, His son Karti had a 5% stake in the Aircel Company.
Moreover, he also owned a company i.e. Advantage Strategic Consulting. P. Chidambaram tried to provide benefits to Aircel in the 2G spectrum case. Though, his involvement suspected in the Aircel-Maxis fraud. Recently, the CBI team arrested him from his Jor Bagh residence.
