Monica Elfriede Witt (born in 1979) is an American Former U.S. Air Force Counterintelligence Officer from the United States of America. She served the US Air Force as a cryptologist and a counter-intelligence investigator for more than 10 years. Later, Witt became an intelligence analyst for Booz Allen Hamilton (the defense contractor) in 2008.
Recently, Monica charged with giving American defense information to Iranian government officials. In 2013, the former cryptologist moved to Iran and abandoned her country.
In addition, an arrest warrant has been issued against Monica. On February 13, 2019, the justice department revealed that she also took her details of US counter-intelligence agents while shifting to Iran in 2013.
They also claimed that Elfriede gave the data to Iranian hackers. In the indictment, four of hackers also charged alongside Monica. They are Behzad Mesri, Mojtaba Masoumpour, Mohamad Paryar, and Hossein Parvar.
They charged with attempting to establish spy software on computers. Also, they accused of planning to commit identity theft belonging to Monica’s co-workers.
The U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., charged Monica with plotting to give national defense information with foreign governments with the purpose to hurt the U.S. in Iran’s service.

The statement suggested that she defected for ideological motives. They also extracted emails between Monica and an Iranian agent referred to as Individual A. One of Monica Witt email stated her as frightening to move into Russia silently.
She also contacted the Wikileak organization from there. Monica traveled to Tehran from Dubai and wrote to A that she is signing off & heading out and coming home. The indictment farther stated that she produced “target packages” from January 2014 to May 2015.
