Lady Hale (born January 31, 1945) is a British Judge from Leeds (Yorkshire, UK). She is serving in the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom on the President Position since 2017. She was the Lord of Ordinary Appeal in the House of Lords in 2004.
Furthermore, she handled the duties until 2009 then she transferred. She feels proud to be the only woman to be in the Law Lord. In 2013, she made the Deputy President of the United Kingdom’s Supreme Court.
On October 2, 2017, she swore as the President. She selected among other judicial personalities Lady Black and Lady Arden. Meanwhile, she appointed the Honorary President of the Cambridge Law University in 2015.
She is also the Non-Permanent Judge in the Court of Final Appeal, Hong Kong. Therefore, she is the first woman over there to handle the position. Hale also is known as Baroness Hale of Richmond and Brenda Marjorie Hale.
