Krishna Kumari Kohli was born on 1st Feb, 1979 in Dalit Family at Nagarparkar, a village situated in Thar near Sindh province Pakistan. During her childhood, she faced lot of difficulties such as poverty, hunger, caste discrimination etc. He also worked as child labour since the age 3 at private jail owned by her landlord of Kunri at Umerkot district. At the age 16, when she was just studying in 9th grade she got married to Lalchand who was the student of Sindh Agriculture University.
But she was fortunate enough that her in-laws let her pursue her studies. Then she completed her Master in Sociology at Sindh University in the year 2013. She strongly believes in the betterment of women in the society. Furthermore, she says that she used to study under the oil lantern light because she didn’t have the privilege of electricity. Krishna Kumari Kohli faced extreme poverty and her family also worked as a bonded labor in landlord village.

Despite of all this, she doesn’t lose the zeal for the betterment of the society. Currently, she is also working as social activist and program manager at DAMAN (Development, Awareness and Management of Natural Resource). She says she wanted to act as a representative for women across the country not just in Thar. Now she actively works against child labour, harassment at work places, hunger etc.
She was also selected for the third Human Rights Youth Leadership Training Camp in the year 2007 at Islamabad and training she worked for the Youth Civil Action Programmed and focused mainly on bonded child labor and women harassment.
