Jan Siewert (born August 23, 1982) is a German Football Coach and Former Football Player from Mayen, Germany. He will be approved as Huddersfield’s new coach this week. At present, the coach is working with the Borussia Dortmund (German Football Club). Moreover, Huddersfield will also pay Dortmund around £265,000 compensation for Siewert.
Dean Hoyle (Owner and chairman of Huddersfield) considers Siewert as the ideal coach to build on the foundations laid by David Wagner (team ex-manager). The Terriers stated about the unexpected departure of David Wagner last week. In fact, he left the club between the Premier League.
Furthermore, the 36-year-old Jan retired as a footballer in 2009. He played with the various clubs in the lower leagues of Germany. In 2013, Jan became an assistant manager to Christian Wuck.
Wuck was in charge of Germany’s U18 national side. Later, Siewert took the charge of U19 player. Therefore, Dortmund offered him the manager’s role and Jan held the position since July 2017. His debut season was with BvB and the club finished in 4th place.
