Ella Jones (born in 1955) is an American lady politician and pastor. She has even worked as a chromatographer at a company named KV Pharmaceutical. In the year 2015, she became a member of the Ferguson council where she represented ward number 1.
In the year 2020, she participated in the Ferguson, Missouri mayoral elections. When the results came then it got declared that she won the elections and will become the first black mayor of Ferguson[1]The New York Times.
His opponent was Heather Robinett who is also her fellow member at the council. Before her, James Knowles III was the mayor of the city. Because of the term limit, he was unable to participate in re-elections.

Her schooling got completed in the year 1973 from a local high school. She is a BA (Bachelors of Arts) in Chemistry which she did from the University of Missouri–St. Louis.

Protests in Ferguson and Michael Brown vs. Police
It has been 6 years since Michael Brown got killed and since then many things have changed. It is necessary to know about that incident also.
In 2014 on the 9th of August a police officer named Darren Wilson killed a black 18-year-old youngster named Michael Brown Jr.

Actually Brown was with his friend Dorian Johnson. When an altercation happened then both the friends fled from the scene. The police officer pursued them and shot Michael. In total 12 bullets got fired from the gun and 6 of them did hit the young guy. The gun that Darren Wilson used was a SIG Sauer P229.
It took only 90 seconds for the Brown to lose his breath. When the medical units came they examined him and declare that he died.
After that, he was taken to the morgue. After this protests started and people came to the roads and streets. Some people even protested violently. Police dealt with the protestors in a militarised way which got criticized by many which even includes politicians.
