Chitetsu Watanabe (born March 5, 1907) was a supercentenarian from Japan. He was from a farmer’s family and did his studies in this field. In October 2019 he became the oldest man alive after the death of Gustav Garnet.
Till 23 February 2020, he was the oldest man alive on the planet. On 23 Feb, news came that Chitetsu died at the age of 112 years. The exact cause of his death is his Ageing which result his death.
Just before 11 days of his death, Guinness World Record gave him the award for the oldest man alive record. When he got recognized by Guinness then his photo got viral in which he can be seen with the award in his hand and smile on his face.

The oldest man alive, Man Chitetsu Watanabe took birth in a farmer’s family in the year 1907 (age 112 years, as in 2019) on 5th March. His birthplace is Joetsu, Japan. His father’s name is Haruzo and his mother is Miya. He was one of the 8 kids of his parents. He grew up in a village environment.

Career & Net worth
After graduation, he decided to start his career in Taiwan so he moved there. In Taiwan, he got a job in a sugar company named Dai-Nippon Sugar Company. Here he worked till the end of World War 2.
With his wife and a kid he moved back to his homeland and bought a farmhouse. Her he started his life from the very beginning. As we came to know he used to do farming according to new techniques and methods.
He worked here for a very long time and when his children got younger he retired. Just because of love for plants he was still involved in gardening. As we came to know Chitetsu Watanabe’s net worth is somewhere around 500k USD as in 2020.
