The 17-years old player died on 31 December 2019 when a freight train hit him. The accident happened in Deerfield Beach near Fort Lauderdale. According to the local Police the incident happened in the early morning at around 4 a.m. the doctor and the body examiner declared it a matter of suicide. Bryce Gowdy’s uncle Thomas Gowdy told the media that he was very hopeful from his coming future and always wanted to be famous.

The incident happened after he got signed for Yellow Jackets, which is a football team of Georgia Tech.
