Brigid Kosgei (born February 20, 1994) is a Kenyan Athlete, Marathon Runner, and Public Figure from Nairobi. On October 13, 2019, she gained immense popularity & media attention after she made a marathon world record.
The runner won the 2019 Chicago Marathon in a world record time of 2:14:04. In fact, Brigid beat her own best time after finishing the tournament 4 minutes early. She started her professional career in the year 2015.
She first took part in the international event after participating in the 2015 Porto Marathon. The competition held on November 08, 2015 and Kosgei finished the race on the first position with 2:47:59 timing.
